PFAS are "forever chemicals" used to make products more durable. They are widespread in our environment and linked to cancer, hormone disruption and other health risks.
Results reflect laboratory analysis of the samples submitted at the time of testing. They do not guarantee future performance. Labelling and regulatory compliance remain the brand's responsibility.
The worst type of surface. Teflon releases toxic PFAS chemicals (forever chemicals) linked to cancer and liver damage. The coating chips over time and is not heat resistant.
Requires a lot of oil to keep food from sticking, reacts with acidic foods, and alters the taste. Difficult to clean and high maintenance.
Very fragile coatings: once chipped, they expose a toxic aluminum base. They rarely last more than 1 to 2 years. Expensive to replace and unreliable in the long term.
Extremely heavy and high-maintenance: cast iron rusts easily without regular seasoning and doesn’t handle acidic foods well, which can damage the surface.
Rusts easily, requires constant seasoning, and reacts with acidic foods. Not nonstick or easy to maintain. Really not worth it for everyday cooking.
Unlike competitors who use cheap, toxic alloys, at Forneau®, we use only the purest materials for your safety. Every product is made from Grade 1 Titanium (lab-certified at 99.98%) — the purest form available, also known as medical-grade titanium. It also complies with food-contact safety standards.
Your safety is guaranteed with Forneau
This pure titanium (grade 1) cookware set brings together 8 matching pieces to cover everyday cooking: searing, simmering, reheating, serving and handling. It’s for anyone looking to move to PFAS-free cookware with no coating, and kit out their kitchen in one go. Each piece is designed in France and built for stable cooking, without a layer that can flake.
With an uncoated titanium pan, success comes down to preheating and using a little fat.
Want a step-by-step: titanium pan buying guide and PFAS overview.
Suitable for all hobs, including induction. Depending on the pieces, some may be oven-safe (refer to the notes on each item’s listing). Titanium may pick up surface marks with use: these marks remain superficial; nothing flakes and nothing migrates. Care: hot water, non-abrasive sponge, then dry. For marks, soak and use a bicarbonate-of-soda paste.
What exactly is included in the 8-piece set?
It includes 8 coordinated pure titanium items (pans, utensils and accessories). The precise breakdown can vary; check the “included” section on the product page.
Is it induction-compatible?
Yes, the set is suitable for all hobs, including induction.
Can it go in the dishwasher?
Titanium cleans very easily, but to preserve the surface appearance (and limit marking), hand washing with a soft sponge is recommended.
Does titanium scratch?
Titanium can pick up surface marks from utensils and cleaning. These marks remain superficial: there is no coating to flake, and nothing migrates into food from a coating.
What warranty is included?
The Signature Set is offered with a lifetime warranty for the full set. Keep your proof of purchase for any claim.

Since I retired, I’m the one who cooks at home. Honestly, I wish I’d discovered this frying pan sooner. It heats up quickly, food hardly sticks at all, and now we only use this one.
Gérard P.
The removable handle system is honestly super practical. My three pans stack perfectly and take up barely more space than a single pan. When you have a small kitchen like mine, it really is a game-changer.
Martine L.
First meal with my new pan and, honestly, a very pleasant surprise. I was worried the chicken would stick since there’s no coating, but not at all. And cleaning took just a few minutes. Very happy with my purchase.
Sylive I.
I’ve been using my Maison Forneau pans almost every day for several years and they’re still in very good condition. Despite heavy use, they’ve held up really well and I’ve noticed hardly any scratches. I’d buy them again without hesitation.
Catherine H.
I cook every day for the whole family, and more than anything I was looking for something sturdy and easy to care for. After several weeks of use, I’m really satisfied. It heats evenly, nothing sticks when you follow the advice, and cleanup is very quick. I really don’t regret my purchase.
Sophie B.
I’ve been a chef for over 25 years, so I’m naturally pretty demanding when it comes to equipment. I wanted to try titanium out of curiosity and I was genuinely surprised. The pan heats up quickly, searing is excellent, and above all, it’s a pleasure to use. Even at home, I ended up setting my old pans aside.

Every generation passes down knowledge. Ours is an uncompromising standard at the table. At Forneau, our chef embodies that tradition — hands that have learned to respect fire, metal, and what goes on the plate. Titanium is not a marketing choice. It’s the only material worthy of this kind of cooking.
People think it’s “just a pan”…
But it’s the tool you use every day in the kitchen. It changes everything.
A good pan changes everything. Just look at that sear!!

From toxin and bacteria risks to demanding maintenance, these “outdated” cookware materials simply don’t measure up anymore.
The worst type of pan coating there is. Teflon and most non-stick coatings release PFAS, these “forever chemicals” linked to cancer and liver damage. The coating chips over time, can’t withstand high temperatures, and exposes your food to toxins.
Requires a lot of oil to prevent food from sticking, and reacts with acidic foods — which alters flavor and may release metals in low-quality pans. Hard to clean and high maintenance.
Ceramic coatings are very fragile. Once chipped, they expose a toxic aluminum base. Most only last 1 to 2 years before losing their non-stick properties. Expensive to replace and unreliable in the long term.
Extremely heavy and demanding to maintain. Cast iron rusts easily without regular seasoning and doesn’t handle acidic foods well, which damages the surface and alters flavors.
Contains BPA and other harmful chemicals that leach into your food with every cut. A direct risk to your hormones, gut health, and brain.
Not hygienic. Wood is porous: it absorbs raw juices and moisture. Knife marks trap bacteria, making proper sterilization nearly impossible. Mold and contamination become almost inevitable over time. Wood also absorbs odors and stains easily.
Same risks as solid wood, but worse: these boards are assembled from small glued blocks using industrial adhesives containing formaldehyde, a carcinogenic compound. Not just unhygienic — genuinely dangerous.
These materials are extremely hard and dull your knives very quickly. Very heavy to handle and impractical for everyday use.
Plastic spatulas have a very low melting point and release toxic compounds with every use. Serious health risks: digestive issues, hormonal disruption, and cancer.
Even high-end silicone eventually degrades with heat and releases toxic compounds. Most silicone spatulas sold online or in stores contain harmful fillers like BPA and phthalates, which become toxic during cooking.
Not hygienic. Wood allows bacteria to settle into grooves and cracks, even invisible ones, which can contaminate your food over time. It also absorbs odors and stains easily.
Most are made from low-grade alloys that release heavy metals like chromium and nickel into your food when heated. They’re also heavy and can damage the surface of your cookware.
Rusts easily, requires constant seasoning, and reacts with acidic foods like tomatoes, peppers, or lemon — damaging the surface and altering flavor. Not nonstick, not low-maintenance, and clearly not built to last.
The worst type of water bottle possible. Even “BPA-free” models release hormone-disrupting compounds, especially when exposed to heat. Moisture around the spout creates an ideal environment for bacteria and mold growth.
Durable, but stainless steel is not antibacterial like titanium. Bacteria from your mouth can grow inside. Frequent cleaning is essential: studies show that 87% of these bottles contain harmful bacteria such as E. coli.
Aluminum water bottles are always lined with synthetic coatings to prevent the metal from reacting with liquids. These coatings degrade over time and release chemical compounds into your water. Like others, they also promote the growth of bacteria and mold.
Glass does not release chemicals, but it offers no antibacterial protection. Bacteria from your mouth can still multiply on it. It is also fragile: it breaks easily and isn’t practical for everyday use.
