I use it every day to prepare my son's fruit. It cleans in seconds and above all it doesn't retain any smell or colour, even with strawberries. Very happy with my purchase.

PFAS are "forever chemicals" used to make products more durable. They are widespread in our environment and linked to cancer, hormone disruption and other health risks.
Results reflect laboratory analysis of the samples submitted at the time of testing. They do not guarantee future performance. Labelling and regulatory compliance remain the brand's responsibility.
We are the only ones in the world to offer certified pure titanium utensils — no PFAS, no toxins, no coating.

Really practical day to day, I hang it straight up in my kitchen and it barely takes up any space. It's much thinner than my old boards, yet it feels really sturdy.
Gérard P.
We even use it straight for drinks now. Cheese, cold cuts, fruit… it looks lovely on the table and comes out spotless after a trip through the dishwasher.
Sylvie I.
A gift from my children and honestly a wonderful surprise. I cook a lot with vegetables from the garden and I much prefer this board to the plastic ones I used before. Simple, sturdy and easy to clean.
Catherine H.
A lovely surprise as soon as I opened the parcel. The presentation is really carefully done, with the pouch and the little guide. It immediately feels like a quality product, perfect for gifting too.
Sophie B.
What surprised me most was the finish. The titanium is thin, lightly brushed and much nicer in person than I imagined. After several weeks of use, nothing to report.

Three questions, and we'll suggest the pieces suited to your kitchen. The more you add, the bigger the discount.
Very hard, it keeps its edge for a long time — until the first knock. One chip on the edge and the knife is good for replacing: ceramic can't be resharpened at home.
Titanium doesn't rust and doesn't react with anything, but it's softer than knife-grade steels: the edge wears quickly and you need to keep going back to the stone.
Stamped, flexible blade, around 50 HRC: it dulls within a few weeks. The plastic handle slips as soon as it's wet and warps in the dishwasher.
It cuts remarkably well, but it rusts if left damp, stains on contact with acidic foods and requires constant care.
A blade in stainless steel tempered to 60 HRC: it holds its edge and resharpens easily, without rusting. Wooden handle, well balanced in hand, lifetime warranty.
Unlike competitors who use cheap, toxic alloys, at Forneau® we only use the purest materials for your safety. Every product is made from Grade 1 Titanium (lab-certified at 99.89%) — the purest form available, also known as medical-grade titanium. It also complies with food contact standards.

The Forneau 8 in Chef's Knife covers everyday cutting tasks: mincing, chopping, slicing meat, fish, vegetables and herbs. The blade measures 20.5 cm for a total length of 34 cm and 237 g, a balance that stays comfortable through a long prep session.
Titanium doesn't rust and doesn't react with anything, but it's softer than cutlery steels: a titanium blade loses its edge quickly and needs constant sharpening. That's why we chose a stainless steel tempered to 60 ± 2 HRC, which holds its edge, and we keep titanium where it performs best: utensils and the cutting board.
Hand wash only, because of the wood handle, then dry immediately. Run the blade over a ceramic or diamond honing steel as soon as cutting starts to feel off, and over a whetstone once or twice a year depending on use. Never leave the knife soaking.
Is the knife made of titanium?
No. The blade is stainless steel tempered to 60 ± 2 HRC and the handle is wood. Titanium would be too soft for a blade that needs to hold its edge.
How long is the blade?
20.5 cm, the versatile chef's format, for a total length of 34 cm and 237 g.
Can it go in the dishwasher?
No, the manufacturer recommends hand washing: the handle is wood.
How do I sharpen it?
With a ceramic or diamond honing steel to realign the edge, and a whetstone for real sharpening once or twice a year.
Is it guaranteed?
Yes, a lifetime warranty against material and manufacturing defects. Normal edge wear is not covered.
"The kitchen is an underestimated source of toxins.
Forneau titanium is the only material I
recommend without hesitation to my patients."
"15 years telling my patients to ditch Teflon. No material held up — until Forneau. I now recommend it in consultations."

A knife is judged after six months: once the edge is gone and the handle has loosened. Blade in stainless steel tempered to 60 HRC, wooden handle: the edge comes back with a stone, the grip stays secure, and nothing rusts in the dish rack.
Ceramic, titanium, low-end stainless steel, carbon steel: each solves one problem while creating another.
